ELECTRONIC WASTE

E-waste, short for electronic
waste, refers to discarded electronic devices. These devices include old
computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets, televisions, printers, and other
electronic gadgets that are no longer in use or have reached the end of their
life cycle. E-waste can contain hazardous materials like lead, mercury,
cadmium, and other substances harmful to human health and the environment.
Improper disposal of e-waste can lead to pollution of soil, water, and air,
posing risks to both human health and the ecosystem. Recycling and responsible
disposal methods are essential to manage e-waste and minimize its environmental
impact.
